AEW/Sunrise Senior Living Joint Venture Receives $91 Million First Mortgage Loan From GE Healthcare Financial Services


CHICAGO, November 15, 2004 - GE Healthcare Financial Services has provided a $91 million long-term fixed-rate, first mortgage on a seven-property portfolio, to a joint venture between AEW Capital Management and Sunrise Senior Living. The deal marks the continuation of a long running relationship between GE and Sunrise that reflects GE's commitment to the industry.

Sunrise, the nation's largest senior living provider with more than 400 senior living communities open or under construction in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Germany, along with its partner AEW, one of the nation's largest investors in senior housing, required a deal structure that offered flexibility and speed.
